Returning to the whirlwind world of “Vacation Friends 2,” we join Marcus and Emily as they extend an invitation to their uproarious friends Ron and Kyla for an extravagant Caribbean getaway. Yet, this sequel falls short of its predecessor’s allure. Despite a talented cast, the film lacks the original’s comedic brilliance and energy. The humor frequently misses its mark, generating only intermittent amusement. A sudden shift towards action in the final act feels contrived and disrupts the narrative flow. The cast, particularly Howery and Cena, maintain their comedic chemistry, but even they can’t entirely salvage the film’s weaknesses. “Vacation Friends 2” struggles to establish its own identity, ultimately becoming an unnecessary and forgettable addition to the comedy genre.
